Overview

The one-year BA Business and Leadership Degree is designed for individuals who currently hold a HNC* or HND level qualification, offering a flexible, blended-learning experience that fits around your work-life balance. This degree programme is delivered in conjunction with our partners at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). If you are looking to upskill in business or enhance your team’s expertise, this could be the perfect course for you. The programme will combine face-to-face activities, supported online sessions and flexible access to online resources. There will also be occasional in-person workshop / conference events, supported by industry guest speakers as part of this programme.

Please note that if you have received an unconditional offer you will be required to complete an enrolment form with UWS.

Entry

Entry requirements for this course include:

  • University Diploma or degree (if not a relevant subject we will require 2 years relevant work experience in a managerial or leadership position)
  • HND in a relevant subject + 2 years relevant work experience in a managerial or leadership position.
  • *HNC in a relevant subject + 5 years relevant work experience in a managerial or leadership position.  Your HNC must be 120 credits. If it is 96 Credits you will require to send evidence of 24 credits at Level 7.  
  • When applying you are required to upload a photo of your qualification and experience as per entry requirements above.

*  Relevant subjects: Business, Admin, Legal Services, HR, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Management & Leadership

On this course, you will cover a number of topics including, but not limited to:

  • Emerging Issues in Business
  • Contemporary Consumer Behaviour
  • Fundamentals of Leadership
  • Business Enterprise Creation 
  • Professional Development

There are regular face-to-face, full-day in-person sessions such as lectures and tutorials, and 3 hours per week timetabled drop in online tutorials for each of the three modules students undertake each Trimester. These are recorded for those that can't attend.
